How does Victoria Idol work?

Eligible applicants have until Wednesday, September 15, 2010 to submit their applications to PEERS. To determine if you are eligible, check out the rules at “Who can enter?”

What you’ll need to enter:

a completed application form
$30 entry fee (certified cheque or money order, made out to PEERS)
recent photo for promotional purposes
one-page bio telling us who you are

The Bay Centre Guest Services Desk

After the Call for Entries closes, we will notify you of the date of your appearance at a live audition at The Bay Centre either Sept. 25 or 26, 2010. Please be prepared to sing a full song a capella – without backup music – when called to the stage.

During the live auditions, our panel of judges will select 48 contestants who will continue to one of the four preliminary rounds, held October 8, 9, 29, & 30. At each preliminary round, 12 contestants will perform and six will continue to one of the two semi final rounds, held November 12 & 13. The 12 contestants selected during the semi final rounds will then perform onstage, with a live band, at The Royal Theatre on January 13, 2011, where the judges will select First, Second and Third place winners.

Judges will pick first, second and third place winners at the finale. First place prize consists of a recording session at 1 Ton Studios to record two original songs; a photography session and cd cover design; coaching for marketing, image, stage presence, etc. and more.
